Help Us Celebrate Lottery Week July 13-17
Lotteries are a winning ticket for communities.
On average, about 95% of the revenue generated from traditional U.S. lottery games goes directly back into the economy through prizes, retailer commissions, and transfers to public beneficiaries. While individual jurisdictions vary, across the industry it’s estimated that lotteries return an average of 64% in prizes to players, 25% to public beneficiaries and 6.2% to retailer commissions. The remainder supports lottery operations, providing direct and indirect employment and other benefits.
In Mississippi, lottery proceeds are transferred to the state each month to assist in roads and bridges repair and education efforts. The first $80 million each fiscal year goes to the Mississippi Department of Transportation while everything transferred after that goes to the Mississippi Department of Education’s Education Enhancement Fund.
In Fiscal Year 2026, the Mississippi Lottery 幸运168®飞艇开奖预测网-Mississippi Lottery全国统一历史记录预测_在线查询开奖最新数据 sent more than $120 million back to the state. Total transfers are now more than $800 million since the Lottery was created in November 2019.
